The Appian developer will design and develop the core Appian platform project from end to end. Working closely with the Senior Developer, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Database and QA engineers to fully understand and develop the functional and technical requirements of the case management application.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and develop Appian applications, following the user experience principles found in the Digital Services Playbook (https://playbook.cio.gov ) and the U.S. Web Design Standards (https://standards.usa.gov ).
Design and develop the system to set the standard for future development, craft an architecture that smoothly works with existing infrastructure without compromising security.
Introduce new opportunities to build platform-based solutions to help the users meet their toughest challenges and resolve identified systems integration issues in a timely manner.
Experience implementing a Cloud BPM implementation for the Federal Government.
Experience development and integrating Appian CMS, Apache Spark, Java, JavaScript, AWS Cloud, AWS S3 integration, AWS RDS services.
Experience in RDBMS’s Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server, and hands on expertise in PL/SQL.
Strong knowledge and experience in building efficient process models, user-friendly SAIL forms and CDT.
Must have experience in building user interfaces backed up by record types
Must have experience in developing custom reports to retrieve large volume of data and generate reports using plug-ins
Must have experience in customer facing role with ability to understand requirements and share feasibility options and implement solutions
Experience in exploring options and analysis of use cases to overcome Appian limitations and develop custom solutions to meet customer needs
Experience in leading facilitated code review sessions with subject matter experts to gather and confirm on product and data requirements.
Ability to implement Appian standards and best practices and perform unit and performance testing to ensure quality code deliverables
Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering and development experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience developing with Appian.
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting agile based development teams.
Appian Senior Developer or higher Certification with knowledge of Appian concepts and tools as well as delivering scalable solutions. The Apian developer will design and develop the core Appian platform project from end to end.
