Sharp Solutions, Inc has an immediate need for a Performance Automation Tester for a new customer on a highly- visible and strategic Task Order for the Department of Labor. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to work within a team to stand up and mature the capabilities of our customer.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Interact with solutions architect, business analyst and tech lead to define and build a test strategy, performance goals, test plan, for reputable web application performance testing within the organization
  • Prepare Performance Test plan with test cases covering all test conditions, develop test scripts, execute tests, validate results, build report, manage defects and submit reports.
  • Interface with developers, project manager and QA team to develop application performance requirements, and key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with development team to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks during the development lifecycle
  • Experience in planning, developing, scripting, executing and analyzing performance test
  • Deep knowledge of test plan documentation and technical writing and solid understanding of current software testing methodologies
  • Troubleshoot, debug and verify the new or upgraded application meets or exceeds defined performance requirements and SLA metrics
  • Experience using statistical analysis techniques to identify areas of opportunity and optimize application performance
  • Develop, integrate and execute automated test scripts; maintain traceability of functional requirements and test cases; develop automation test strategies and approach for Manual and Automated testing of GUI and functional aspects of Web based applications throughout all phases of Software Testing Lifecycle
  • Develop, configure and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins and Bamboo for end-to-end automation for all builds and deployments

Preferred Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of proficiency in design, development and analysis in load tests using a variety of load testing tools, including GIT, JMeter, Selenium Web Driver, Selenium Grid, WinSCP, Groovy and Cucumber.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills and ability to work independently with little or no direction
  • Expert knowledge in using various test methodologies and best practices in conducting various application tests, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end system testing of client/server and web-based software applications
  • Hands on experience in testing with extensive knowledge of Automation Framework Design and Implementation
  • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and Java skills
  • Experience working in PAAS, SaaS environments for testing in AWS cloud
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of Case Management Systems using Appian
  • Experience using agile methodology, including Scrum/Kanban ceremonies, roles, rules and artifacts in software development
