Sharp Solutions, Inc has an urgent need for a talented and experience Project Manager to join our growing team. This positions will be located in the DC Metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated IT Professional seeking personal challenges and professional rewards. The right individual will enjoy managing software development and modernization projects using a variety of development tools, including host-based, web-based, and client-server applications.
Responsible for refining usage of Agile values and best practices, ensuring the practical use of Agile processes.
Devise an Agile-based strategy to improve time and cost efficiencies for each project during the life of the contract.
Serve as primary interface to client stakeholders and manages multiple internal business and technical resources.
Implement a communication strategy to measure progress and broadcast project status to all appropriate personnel.
Develop and maintain project plans utilizing Microsoft Project.
Along with the Business Analyst and Sr. Architect, leads meetings with project sponsors, collects and documents requirements into formalized requirements document.
Assist in the creation and review of project related design, implementation, testing, and users guide documentation.
Develop project cost estimates and manage project budgets.
Participate in peer code reviews.
Ensure the generation of high-quality work products on-time delivery, and under budget.
Capture meeting minutes to include new requirements and areas for improvement during all meetings.
Remain up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments
Experience managing development projects that utilize business process workflows
One or more of the following certifications: PMI-PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), SAFe Scrum Master, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), Certified Agile Leader Advanced Practitioner
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, and MS Office Products.
Skilled in using MS PowerPoint, MS Project and Excel for tracking and presenting project metrics and status
Excellent people skills - an ability to empathize with clients and a genuine desire to solve their technical problems
Ability to lead through influence; negotiate and gain consensus between clients and team
Able to manage urgent deliverables and issues methodically in a calm manner
Impeccable interpersonal skills - demonstrates a gentle 'touch' with clients, team, and executive management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Resourceful, true self-starter, can do attitude, leader
Experience supporting cloud technologies
Previous consulting experience is strongly preferred
Knowledge of associated Agile tools such as JIRA is strongly preferred
Experience working in a government client environment is strongly preferred
Department of Labor Entry on Duty (EOD) is required to support this program
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline is required.
A minimum of 7 years of experience managing Java/J2EE software development teams of at least 10 resources.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a customer facing Project Manager
Must be a US Citizen
